You are my TG16, and I love you. You were my first true love. I will always remember unpacking you on Christmas. I’m married now, but that’s a different kind of love. It doesn’t change how I feel about you. I’ve had relationships with other consoles, but I’ve always come back to you. I’ve been seeing an Xbox 360, but it won’t be long before I end that relationship. You see, it is you and I who have stood the test of time.
I would say that you are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but that doesn’t make any sense. What is so great about sliced bread? No, you are the greatest thing since Lazer Tag. My brother and I had white StarLyte PRO rifles, StarVests, StarHelmets, and a StarBase. It was awesome.
We got off to a slow start with Keith Courage in Alpha Zones but you followed up with Alien Crush, Blazing Lazers, and Splatterhouse.
I upgraded you with a Turbo Booster to give you composite video output and stereo audio output. Later, I wanted nothing more than to upgrade you with a TurboCD. I must have went to Toys “R” Us dozens of times to look at it. It was displayed in a glass cabinet like the holy grail. Unfortunately, it was too expensive.
There will be a place for you in my home theater where we will come together once again. I promise.
